We are looking for a talented and confident full-time Splunk Consultant to support our continued success. Networkology is an IT services company that works with a growing number of public sector organisations including the MOD. Whilst our existing service offering and reputation is firmly rooted in the networks and communications space, we have a number of new complementary technologies and practices that are expanding.

The target start date for this role is Monday the 1st of March 2021.
Please note that to apply you must already be eligible to work in, and willing to travel within the United Kingdom.

Working With Us

We are a people focused company and pride ourselves on how we treat our employees, contractors, suppliers and clients alike. We are a sociable organisation (where global pandemics allow!) and actively encourage open communication and teamwork at all levels, without any of the pitfalls of larger companies with complex hierarchies.

This is an opportunity to get onboard with a rapidly growing company. For the right individual there will be multiple opportunities for training, certification and skills growth.

You wouldn’t be working alone; you’d be working closely with and reporting to the System Director along with our other Technology Consultants, who are experts in their fields.

Location

We are a ‘remote first’ organisation with staff in various parts of the country. We have no traditional offices currently, instead we utilise the latest in collaborative software to ensure that we maintain contact and communication regardless of our location. Contractually your the primary place of work would be our notional base in Hartham Park, Corsham, Wiltshire. However, it is expected that you would be required there rarely.

With the above in mind this role largely involves working with clients at their locations. There will also be opportunities for remote work, however the normal practice would involve travel within the EMEA region for up to 70% of your time, with a heavy focus currently on the UK market.

Role Responsibilities

At a high level, typical day to day responsibilities would include but may not be limited to:

  • The opportunity to drive complex deployments of technologies whilst working side by side with the customers to resolve their unique problems.
  • Empower customers to take on the next wave of questions on their own and support them on an ongoing journey.
  • Support pre-sales engagements, customer presentations, and other duties as required to support client acquisition.
  • Drive customer business value and benefit realisation via effective implementation of Networkology-partnered technologies.
  • Collaborate across the entire organisation to bring access to product and technical teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation captured from customer input.
  • Advise and consult on architectural good practise, whilst considering the customer’s design authority.
  • Bridge the void between technical and commercial elements and application of a strategic mindset.
  • Develop monitoring of both on-premise and cloud applications and infrastructure.
  • Learn new technologies and invest in self-development to keep knowledge and skillset in synchronisation with product developments.
  • Create and deliver knowledge transfer workshops, imparting good practise from real-world uses cases and scenarios.
